  •  1871: Establishment of Bank Oppenheim - Errera by Jacques Errera and accession of Franz Philippson.
  • 1912
    • Involvement Franz Philippson in a syndicate of Belgian banks financing the issue of Belgian treasury bonds.
    • Accession of Jean Degroof.
  • 1914: Involvement Franz Philippson during WWI in the Consortium of Banks providing credits to finance the occupier's war tax.
  • 1919
    • Advice by Franz Philippson to the government regarding the ‘loan of national restoration’.
    • Establishment of Brussels exchange agency Libert Cie (later renamed Peterbroeck) by Léon Libert.
  • 1921: Foundation of ‘International Chamber of Commerce’ by Franz Philippson.
  • 1927: Establishment of Brussels exchange agency Van Campenhout.
  • 1929: Death of Franz Philippson.
  • 1936: Establishment of the Department of private banks of the Belgian Banking Association by Jules Philippson.
  • 1968: Establishment of SCS Peterbroeck, Van Campenhout & Cie GCV as a result of the merger of two family companies Peterbroeck and Van Campenhout.
  • 1969: Death of Jean Degroof. Change of company name to ‘Bank Degroof’.
  • 1973: Establishment of the first Belgian third party managed pension fund.
  • 1987: Creation of the first treasury SICAV.
  • 1993: Transformation of Peterbroeck, Van Campenhout & Cie into a holding company. Transfer of the operations in the newly created company Petercam.
  • 2000: Transfer of the overall functions of the holding company Peterbroeck, Van Campenhout & Cie in Petercam.
  • 2002: Launch of the first Behavioral funds.
  • 2003: Launch of the responsible investment strategy with Ethibel.
  • 2008: Creation of the bank’s Foundation.
  • 2009: Reactivation of the real estate securitization through real estate certificates.
  • 2010: Extension of the offer with asymmetrical management.
  • 2011: Deaths of Etienne Van Campenhout and Jean Peterbroeck.
  • 2012: Establishment of the Pulse Foundation in collaboration with several families.
  • 2015:
    • Merger of Bank Degroof and Petercam to Bank Degroof Petercam.
    • Merger of French entities and name change to Bank Degroof Petercam France.
  • 2016:
    • Merger of Degroof Fund Management Company and Petercam Institutional Asset Management to Degroof Petercam Asset Management. 
    • Merger  of Banque Degroof Luxembourg and Petercam Luxembourg to Banque Degroof Petercam Luxembourg. 
    • Merger of Degroof Gestion Institutionnelle and Petercam Institutional asset Management Luxembourg  to Degroof Petercam Asset Services.
    • Change of name of the Spanish entity to Bank Degroof Petercam Espana.
    • Name change of the corporate finance activities to Degroof Petercam Corporate Finance.
